Patrice Louinet was born in 1967 in Limoges, France. He is now living near Paris. Patrice works in a school for children with a difficult social/familial backgrounds.

His interest in Robert E. Howard dates from 1984. In 1990, he wrote a Master's Degree Memoir on Howard, and in 1992, a pre-doctoral thesis, again on Howard.

Patrice founded the first Howard mailing list on the net in 1997 [rehfans].

He has published several essays on REH, some in the US. He recently completed a book on Howard for the French market, and is the editor of the upcoming three-volume Conan series for WANDERING STAR.
