Joe Marek (born 1954) is a Commercial Artist working in Omaha, NE. He received a B.A. in English Literature and a B.F.A. in Studio Art from Bellevue College (now Bellevue University). Though accepted by the University of Nebraska at Omaha to do graduate work in English, he instead pursued a career in the "real world."

He first joined the Robert E. Howard Amateur Press Association in the late 1970s and most of his serious Howard work from that group can be found at his own Robert E. Howard website. Of particular interest is his Kull essay.

He was also published in Dark Winds.

In 1998 he became the editor/publisher of The "New" Howard Reader, and in 2000 issued Glenn Lord's Ultimate Thule. He continues with plans for other Howard-oriented publications.

His paticular interests in Howard's works inlcude the fantasy and horrer stories set in the American South and Southwest, the Kull, and Dark Agnes stories.

He is also interested in Popular Culture from 1965-1975.
