Shandel
Lee in “Rogue Angels”
Rogue Angels Interview
By Andrew Rudder for Pulpmag.net ~ andrew@pulpmag.net
Andrew: It's with great pleasure that I introduce to you
a stunner named Shandel Lee from the province of Ontario
within the Great White North, “I was born in January 1988 and
born and raised in Ontario, Canada.” Shandel is a focused,
passionate and driven young lady whose notoriety is growing
so quickly that she is virtually on the cusp of breaking out
into the mainstream. What’s her philosophy in life? “Learn
from yesterday. Live for today. Hope for tomorrow.”
Shandel
has a passion for modeling in particular and the entertainment
industry in general, which has enabled this young lady
to hone her craft over the years and progressively move
toward the upper echelons of the modeling industry. She
has now become an emerging starlet in Ontario, Canada,
and is highly sought after by top fashion designers, professional
photographers and businesses looking to spice up their respective
corporate brands. Some of the highlights from her emerging
modeling career thus far? “ I love doing photoshoots
and promotional modeling events. I love working with people
and having fun.”
So
what does this ravishing angel love to do when she is not
blessing the photographers’ camera lens and gracing the
pages of magazines with the resounding presence of her prepossessing,
pristine pulchritude???!!! “I went to college for
Dental Assisting and I am also very interested in Real Estate.
I hope to be a real estate investor on the side in the near
future.”
And
other aspects of the entertainment industry that she’s
interested? “I would love to get into acting in the
future and maybe even management for other models.”
And
what about after her illustrious modeling career? “My
goals are to create a great image, awesome friends, good
role model for others and to make a lot of money of course
;)”
Shandel has taken the time out of her very busy schedule
to do this interview with yours truly and I appreciate that
... So on behalf of the Pulp Magazine family whom work extremely
hard to bring our loyal readers the very best in informative
and entertaining content, I'm very delighted to have you
Shandel and it was truly my pleasure to interview you! I
hope that this interview will be the first of many with us
and other magazines during your truly illustrious modeling
career.
Shandel: Wow , it is honestly such a pleasure to be a part
of Pulp Magazine and have to opportunity to represent them
in any way I can. Thank you so much.
Andrew: No great journey toward our desired destination in
life is accomplished solely by ourselves, so talk a bit about
the people in your life who have and continue to support
you throughout your illustrious career and as you continue
to make your indelible mark on the sands of time.
Shandel: Honestly, family will always be there no matter
what. Friends, boyfriends, girlfriends, they come and go.
My family means the most to me. The few friends that are
there for me are considered family.
Andrew: How and why did you get into the entertainment industry
and what is it about it that captivates your mind and stimulates
your creative imagination.
Shandel: I love to entertain. Some people love to watch,
others love to put on the show.
Andrew:
Being convinced to pursue a career in modeling is one thing,
but actually believing that you possess the requisite talent,
focus and drive to succeed in a very tough, unforgiving
business is quite another. When did you actually believe
that you possessed the requisite intangible qualities and
characteristics to make it in the entertainment industry
as a model?
Shandel:
After a couple agencies told me they didn’t
think I had the right look, I really got my determination.
I don’t like it when people don’t think I can
do something. But as far as far as thinking I have what it
takes looks wise, it would be from the response I get from
my fans. I love the people who encourage me! I need them
in my life.
Andrew: What experience do you value more and attain more
personal satisfaction from as a model: the creative process
behind an intimate collaboration with a talented photographer,
make-up artist and/or designer OR seeing the reaction from
your family, friends and fans as they bare witness to the
finished product?
Shandel:
I love the finished product. It’s always the
best part!
Andrew:
Wayne W. Dyer is quoted as saying, “When you
dance, your purpose is not to get to a certain place on the
floor. It’s to enjoy each step along the way.” As
you dance your way through the entertainment industry, what
has been some of the steps that you enjoyed along the way
thus far?
Shandel:
I love people. I enjoy meeting new people everyday, always
seeing new faces, new atmospheres. I never know what to
expect, I don’t get bored and its exciting.
Andrew: You have a beautifully toned physique Shandel that
is always accentuated by your artistic poses within your
prepossessing photographs, so I'm curious to know what does
your diet and exercise regimen consist of?
Shandel: To be honest, Im really awful with my diet and working
out. I love fruits and vegatables but im addicted to fast
food. I really must be good genes or something, but I am
not going to be like this forever. I am hitting my twenties
now and Im sure I will have to start keeping a better eye
on my diet!
Andrew: Why do you think that some models enter the entertainment
industry, attain their 15 minutes of fame and than vanish
without a trace, but others such as world renowned models
like Cindy Crawford, Tyra Banks, Christy Turlington, Kimora
Lee, and lesser known models such as Kim Loan and Dawn Rochelle
are capable of transforming their early success as a model
into a long lasting, successful career within the entertainment
industry as business women?
Shandel:
Some people are better entertainers than others. They have “that something” about
them that intrigue you to watch them. It also has to do
with goals and determination along with knowing the right
people.
Andrew:
Do you place any limitations on yourself in terms of what
you will and will not do in this industry to succeed, or
do you have a ‘by any means necessary I will get mine
in the 21st century’ attitude?
Shandel: Well I do have my morals and I tend to keep them,
so as far as crossing them, I wont.
Andrew: My no limit credit card slips out of my pocket and
magically appears in your hands as I finish this interview
with you; what do you buy before I find out that it's missing?!!!
[I know in real life you would have returned my card!]
Shandel:
Well of course I would’ve returned it…but
in this case, Id buy ….wow what a tough one. A yacht,
I think would be the best purchase possible!
Andrew: What is your ideal exotic getaway?
Shandel: I would LOVE to go to Costa Rica and Brazil.
Andrew: What sort of qualities in a man do you look for and
really turn you on?
Shandel:
I love a man who’s tall, dark and handsome.
Someone who is very smart, funny, charismatic, considerate
and keeps me on my toes in a good way!
Andrew: What is your favorite food?
Shandel: I love pizza!!
Andrew:
Name one of your addictions? (Something that
you can't do without)
Shandel:
I’m a bit addicted to bad boys but Im going
to rehab for that very soon!! I must break that habit. It’s
really not good for the heart.
Andrew: What is your favorite word to cuss with when your
really upset?
Shandel: Probably the f word.
Andrew: What is your favorite part of the female and male
anatomy?
Shandel:
I love women’s stomachs and I love men’s
shoulders and calves.
Andrew:
If you were a super heroine what super powers would you
want: super speed, super strength, X-ray vision, invisibility,
the ability to read minds or the ability to fly?!
Shandel: Invisibility, Id use it to get anything I wanted
;)
Andrew: What is your favorite column in Pulp Magazine?
Shandel: I love reading the Interviews.
Andrew:
What does sex appeal and beauty mean to you? Is
it a state of mind and attitude (mental/intellectual), physical
perfection as defined by society, or being born with the
right set of physical attributes that get the teenage boys'
hormones into a frenzy?
Shandel: I think sexy comes from within as well as beauty.
There are so many plain janes out there whom are super sexy
because of their attitudes. And on the other hand there are
also so many beautiful faces, with awful attitudes that makes
them ugly.
Andrew: What is beautiful about yourself?
Shandel: I am genuinely a very nice person and I think that
makes me beautiful.
Andrew: If you had to change one thing about yourself what
would it be?
Shandel:
I would change my self confidence. Sometimes I don’t
have enough to stand up for myself.
Andrew: For all of the people, photographers, agencies and
companies seeing you for the first time who will want to
gain more information about you, tell them where they can
go to see and read about some of your past, present and future
projects?
Shandel:
I can be contacted through model mayhem. www.modelmayhem.com/shandellee.
Andrew:
William Faulkner is quoted as saying, "The aim
of every artist is to arrest motion, which is life, by artificial
means and hold it fixed so that a hundred years later, when
a stranger looks at it, it moves again since it is life.
Since
man is mortal, the only immortality possible for him is to
leave something behind him that is immortal since it will
always move." When your profoundly beautiful pictures move
again in the mind's eye of people a hundred years later Shandel,
what do you think they'll say?
Shandel:
These questions are good! I have never thought about that
before… I don’t know! Id hope people see
something more than just a pretty face. I want people to
capture more from me.
Andrew:
Thank you Shandel for doing this interview with Pulp Magazine
and I! We wish you all of the best in your
future endeavors, and we look forward to hearing about your
success in the media as a model and in all of your other
ventures. We would love to have you back anytime!
Shandel:
Thanks so much for having me. This was a great experience
for me and I’m so grateful to be a part of Pulp Magazine! |
